Job summary

Beacon Behavioral Health is seeking a Driver to support the Baton Rouge program. The role involves transporting clients to and from the facility, maintaining a clean and functional vehicle, and assisting in creating a safe therapeutic milieu.

You will collaborate with the treatment team and communicate with clients and caregivers to support treatment plans. Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED and prefer at least one year of mental health care or passenger transport experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• One year experience in a mental health care setting preferred (e.g., Mental Health Technician or CNA).
• One year experience with passenger transportation preferred.
• Education in a mental health related field may substitute for experience.

Responsibilities

• Transport clients to and from the facility and their residence.
• Maintain the company vehicle in good working condition and schedule maintenance.
• Monitor compliance with program rules and assist in safety and security of clients.
• Develop appropriate rapport with clients and caregivers to facilitate communication with the treatment team.
• Communicate effectively with clients, families, caregivers, referral sources, and the community.
