Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience demonstrating ability to interpret instructions and follow procedures in a clinical setting.
• Proven reliability and ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments.
• Ability to assist with patient transport and equipment movement.
• Excellent communication and patient-relations skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the movement of Veterans, equipment, and supplies within the facility.
• Transport patients to and from rooms and wards using Safe Patient Handling equipment.
• Assist clinical staff with obtaining equipment and patient support items.
• Maintain cleanliness and disinfection of reusable medical equipment.
• Report to nursing staff and coordinate work priorities with supervisor.
