The Valley Hospital in Paramus, NJ is seeking a Per Diem Patient Transport Assistant to safely move patients, personal effects, requisitions, specimens, and charts. Shift Day; 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; hours and weekends vary based on department needs.

This role requires no previous experience and a high school diploma with strong English communication. You will interact with patients and health care staff, communicate clearly, and adapt to changing workloads with attention to detail and composure

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Good communication with patients, families and health care team.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe transport of patients, personal effects, requisitions, specimens, and charts.
• Assist with patient transport activities as required and respond to needs promptly.
