Job summary

Rochester Regional Health is seeking a Video Monitor Aide to provide continuous observation of patients at the Potsdam facility. The role requires vigilantly monitoring via video, redirecting at-risk behavior, and clear communication with the nursing team.

Responsibilities include operating the video monitoring software, documenting observations, and ensuring patient safety. The position is per diem, union-affiliated, with a pay range of $18.46–$26.24 per hour.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• No professional licensure or certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates understanding of video monitoring software.
• Maintain continuous visual observation of assigned patients at all times.
• Verbally redirects patients via the in-room two-way audio device.
• Immediately summons nursing staff if assistance is needed.
• Participates in hand-offs and documents observations accurately.
• Maintain a safe environment and report hazards to the nurse in charge.
