Job summary

MultiCare Deaconess Hospital in Spokane, WA, seeks a Patient Surgical & Financial Coordinator to manage bariatric surgery patient panels and the logistics of their pre-surgery work-up over a multi-month timeline.

You will be the main contact for patients, ensuring they stay on track and informed at every step toward surgery, coordinating schedules, and supporting the bariatric team with logistics and patient communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED equivalent required
• Related college coursework and or training preferred
• Two-year or four-year college degree preferred
• Minimum of two (2) year work experience in a medical office setting required
• Experience with medical terminology
• Healthcare insurance or related experience strongly preferred
• Experience with EPIC desirable
• Experience in customer service roles preferred

Position Summary

They serve as the key point of contact for patients, keeping them on track and informed at every step along the way to surgery.

Founded in 1896, MultiCare Deaconess Hospital is a 388-bed acute-care hospital serving the greater Spokane region. Pay and Benefit Expectations

As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $19.51 - $28.08 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant’s years of experience align.
