At Prevea Health, the Patient Support role involves greeting and assisting patients and visitors upon arrival, offering guidance, support, and referrals to ensure a welcoming and efficient clinic experience.
Welcomes patients and visitors as they enter clinic/department. Directs them to appropriate location including clinical, ancillary or business areas. Helps patients needing assistance. Transfers patients in/out of wheelchairs using body mechanics techniques. Follows clinic protocol in alerting appropriate personnel in emergency situations. Handles customer concerns in helpful, objective manner, involving manager as appropriate. Arranges for necessary transportation including cabs, clinic vans. May assist in maintaining waiting areas. Maintain lost and found.
Qualifications High School Diploma And/or GED Required
Qualifications 1-3 years Minimum of one year customer service experience Or Volunteer Position Preferred
Knowledge of customer service concepts including importance of appropriate image. Knowledge of clinic policies/procedures, department locations/personnel. Knowledge of emergency protocols. Skill in appropriate welcoming techniques. Skill in providing current directions to visitors. Skill in behaving appropriately in all situations including emergencies and use of equipment. Ability to communicate clearly and positively with all types of customers and can establish/maintain cooperative working relationships. Ability to follow oral and written instructions. Ability to maintain attractive lobby/waiting areas.
