Job summary

Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center San Pedro seeks a Patient Sitter to provide close observation and assist with activities of daily living under the supervision of a registered nurse.

This per diem role supports a safe, clean environment and helps the nursing team deliver compassionate, patient-centered care during 12-hour night shifts in San Pedro, CA.

You will collaborate with caregivers, report changes promptly, and participate in programs to promote overall well-being.

Qualifications

• Requires BLS certification upon hire (American Heart Association).
• Preferred to have Nurses Aide or Health Care Assistant training.

Responsibilities

Patient Sitter at Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center San Pedro in San Pedro, CA. This position is Per Diem and will work 12-hour, Night shifts.

Under the supervision of an RN, provides close observation of patients. Assists in the provision of a safe and clean environment. Promotes the therapeutic milieu and the efficiency of the nursing team. Provides assistance with activities of daily living, unless the patient needs are such that adverse health consequences are predictable. Supports System and Nursing Strategic Plans, Relationship-Based Care, and Shared Leadership.

Required Qualifications:

• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Coursework/Training:Training in Nurses Aid course or Health Care Assistant.
• 1 yearHealth care experience.
