Job summary

Xanitos, Inc. is hiring Full Time Patient Sitters for the 2nd Shift (3:00PM-11:30PM) and 3rd Shift (11:00PM-7:30AM) at UPMC Altoona in Altoona, PA. The on-site role offers a $14.50 per hour rate with a $300 sign-on bonus paid in 3 installments.

No medical experience required; post-offer screenings and CPR/BLS certifications are provided. Responsibilities include constant patient observation, safety reporting, and compassionate care aligned with RN guidance.

Qualifications

• Post-Offer Medical, Background Screening and Drug Test required.
• High school diploma or GED; or equivalent required.
• Ability to read and understand written English communications and patient information.
• CPR AED or BLS-HCP certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient visual and audible observation as directed by RN.
• Remain at bedside, monitor patient condition, and report safety hazards.
• Communicate effectively with staff, patients, and visitors.
• Assist with patient mobility and meal/service coordination as needed.
