Job summary

Valley Baptist - Harlingen seeks a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to support nursing staff in patient care. You will assist with hygiene, vitals, and comfort, and help deliver meals and supplies in a hospital setting.

Required: High school diploma or GED and BLS certification. Experience in a hospital is preferred, with benefits including comprehensive coverage and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• AHA BLS certification required.
• 6 months hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing service personnel with patient care activities.
• Take vital signs and assist with personal hygiene.
• Serve meals, provide between-meal nourishment, and help with linens.
• Maintain clean, sterilized supplies and equipment.

Assists nursing service personnel with a variety of patient care activities and related services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comfort of patients. Assists with personal hygiene, takes vital signs, and changes bed linens. May serve and collect food trays, provide for between-meal nourishment, and clean, sterilize, store, and prepare other supplies. Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.

• Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. Typically reports to a registered nurse or supervisor.

Education:

Required: High school diploma or GED.

Experience:

Preferred: 6 months of hospital experience

Certifications:

Required: AHA BLS
