Job summary

The Cleveland Clinic is seeking a Shuttle Bus Driver to support secure transport across our health system. You will assist with passenger interactions, wheelchair accommodations, and safe shuttle operations daily.

Candidates must hold a valid CDL with air brakes and passenger endorsement, have at least five years of driving experience, and be able to perform pre/post-shift safety inspections in a DOT-compliant manner. This is a part-time role with weekday and rotating weekend coverage.

Qualifications

• Reads and writes sufficiently to fill out maintenance checklists.
• Completes commercial driving training for shuttle bus operation up to 40 passengers.
• Holds a valid CDL with air brakes and passenger endorsement with <6 points.
• Eligible insurance for Foundation Vehicles per carrier requirements.
• Has five years of driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Interact with passengers in a friendly, courteous manner.
• Provide wheelchair assistance and safe hand-offs to caregivers.
• Deliver safe, efficient shuttle transportation in accordance with DOT regulations and clinic policies.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and presentation at all times.
• Maintain situational awareness inside and outside the shuttle.
• Report any suspicious behavior to CCPD.
• Complete daily safety inspections before and after each shift.
• Record ridership data and shuttle defects for dispatch.
