Job summary

MemorialCare Long Beach Medical Center is seeking a Patient Services Technician for per diem shifts in Long Beach, CA. The role focuses on clerical support, patient satisfaction, and collaboration with nursing staff.

You will assist with communications, complete required certifications, and help maintain a safe, efficient patient care environment while following departmental policies.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical Terminology training completed.
• Basic computer skills and BLS certification.
• Customer service training completed.
• One year unit secretary/ward clerk experience preferred or RN coursework.

Responsibilities

• Performs clerical support for patient care areas.
• Accurate computer input and documentation.
• Facilitates communication among caregivers.
• Delivers written and verbal communications clearly.
• Supports a safe, collaborative workplace.
• Completes department competency requirements and certifications.
• Escalates issues to supervisor as needed.
