Job summary

Providence Swedish Medical Group is seeking a Patient Services Specialist at Journey Level in Seattle to handle patient registration, scheduling, and clerical duties as part of a compassionate care team.

This role supports the care team in delivering patient-focused service with emphasis on communication and operational excellence, within the Providence network in Swedish Health Services. A pathway from Associate PSS exists with increasing independence.

Qualifications

• 1 year medical office or related healthcare experience, OR
• 6 months experience as a Providence employee in an Associate PSS position.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and complete patient registration workflows.
• Schedule appointments for routine and basic healthcare services.
• Perform general clerical duties as part of the care team.

The Patient Services Specialist - Journey Level performs all core front-office functions with increased independence and efficiency. The Journey PSS is capable of performing all aspects of the Associate PSS. This role is responsible for patient registration, appointment scheduling for routine and basic healthcare services, and general clerical duties. As a fully engaged member of the care team, the Patient Services Specialist demonstrates a commitment to compassionate service, effective communication, and operational excellence in support of Providence patients and their families.
