Job summary

American Vision Partners is seeking a Patient Service Specialist to be the patient’s first touch, collect essential information for visits, and deliver an exceptional experience in a fast-paced ophthalmology setting.

You will greet patients, handle check-in/out, schedule appointments (including pre/post-op), review paperwork and consents, verify insurance, and maintain medical records, contributing to a smooth patient journey and accurate billing.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Detail oriented, reliable, and able to multi-task in a fast-paced, high-volume work environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Medical Front Desk experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Greeting patients and visitors warmly in person or by telephone
• Checking patients in and out
• Scheduling clinic and surgical appointments including pre- and post-operative visits
• Reviewing all paperwork with patients; consent for procedures
• Verifying insurance and collecting payments
• Maintaining patient medical records
