Responsibilities include:

  • Answering phones courteously, screening, routing calls, and documenting in the electronic medical record.
  • Indexing patient documents and routing electronic faxes appropriately.
  • Assisting with other duties as needed during downtime.
  • Performing all other assigned duties.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent customer and patient service skills
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Proficiency with computer programs
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Training and ongoing knowledge of practice management software
  • Adherence to Standard Operating Procedures
  • High School diploma or GED

Preferred Experience:

  • At least one year of medical office experience
  • Bilingual abilities are a plus
  • Experience with contact centers and insurance plans
