Job summary

Temple Health in Philadelphia seeks a Patient Services Representative for Temple Physicians Inc. @ THCN Northeastern Cardiology. This full-time, 40-hours-per-week role handles preregistration, scheduling, and insurance verification at the front desk.

You will greet patients, answer calls, collaborate with schedulers and insurers, and maintain a calm, patient-focused demeanor in a fast-paced environment; prior healthcare office experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• 2 years experience in a secretarial or clerical/general office position required.
• 1 year experience in a healthcare setting required.

Responsibilities

• Complete preregistration, re-registration and/or re-verification processes per department procedures using identified technology and billing systems.
• Identify, verify, and document patient insurance coverage for scheduled services using electronic and manual sources.
• Answer phones, greet patients and family members, and manage scheduling as part of a team to provide a good patient experience.
• Maintain a calm, rational demeanor and multitask effectively in a hectic, high-pressured environment; provide strong customer service.
