Job summary

Amedisys is seeking a patient services coordinator in Stroud, OK. This full-time daytime role requires one year of administrative and scheduling experience in a healthcare setting and a High School diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• Must have one year of scheduling experience in a healthcare environment.
• One year of administrative experience in a health care environment.
• High School diploma or GED equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Ensures patient assessment visits including all Oasis visits are scheduled and performed timely.
• Ensures clinicians are assigned and scheduled in most efficient geography, maximizing clinician efficiency.
• Works collaboratively with field clinicians to ensure all patient visits are scheduled and completed as ordered.
• Manages calls from patients and field staff related to scheduling issues.
• Refers clinical and performance related issues to the clinical manager.
• Monitors hospitalized patients, communicating and ensuring the team follows up as necessary.
• Supports clinical manager and works with other office personnel for timely communications.
• Runs all applicable reports and responds to workflow with appropriate actions.
• Assists with internal or external transfer of patients between care centers and/or hospice services.
• May maintain supply closet with routine supplies and liaison with the field for patient supply needs.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
