Job summary

Emerson Hospital in Concord, MA is seeking a Patient Service Representative (PSR) for Radiology Support. This role rotates across X-Ray, Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound, CT, and Mammography, greeting patients and visitors and guiding them through the exam process.

You will generate and sort exam requisitions, enter exams into the HIS/RIS system with accuracy, and uphold HIPAA confidentiality while delivering service-excellence in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical Terminology course preferred.
• Previous coursework related to administrative skills preferred.
• One year in a medical office environment preferred.
• Customer service, data entry, and HIS/RIS experience a plus.
• Must read, write, and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors entering the department.

Salary Range: $20.70 - $23.00 / Hourly

Reporting to the Lead Patient Service Representative, the Patient Service Representative(PSR) rotates between the departments: X-Ray, Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound, CT, and Mammography. The PSR greets patients and visitors entering the department. The PSR generates and sorts exam requisitions, accurately enters exams into the HIS/RIS system. Must maintain a high level of patient confidentiality via HIPPA guidelines and be committed to Service Excellence at all times.

Minimum Qualifications

• Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Medical Terminology course preferred.
  • Previous coursework related to administrative skills preferred.
• Experience
  • One year in a medical office environment preferred.
  • Customer service, data entry, and HIS/RIS experience a plus.
