Job summary

ADVENT Tennessee is hiring a Patient Services Representative - Float to be the welcoming face for patients across multiple clinics in South Nashville, Franklin and Hendersonville with occasional coverage in Murfreesboro and Lebanon.

You will greet patients, check in via EHR, schedule appointments, and support the clinic team with insurance verification, payments, and non-clinical duties. A strong customer-service mindset and healthcare experience are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years healthcare experience required.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and check them into the EHR using standard registration protocols.
• Order Sleep Study devices using the system.
• Upload sleep study reports to the system.
• Review future clinic schedules to ensure insurance and necessary patient documentation.
• Schedule patient appointments.
• Answer call center calls to provide overflow coverage.
• Open and close the clinic per guidelines.
• Ensure documentation is complete and payments are collected per insurance, coordinating with the clinic team.
• Cross-train to assist with non-clinical duties as needed.
• Order medical supplies and pharmaceuticals as needed per protocol.

Now Hiring: Patient Services Representative - Float

Locations: South Nashville, Franklin & Hendersonville (with rare occasional coverage in Murfreesboro and Lebanon)

As a Patient Services Representative - Float, you will be the welcoming face that sets the tone for a patient's entire experience at ADVENT, ensuring our patients feel supported and cared for from their very first visit through every step of their journey.

How you will make an impact as a Patient Services Representative - Float:

• Greet patients and accurately check patients into EHR using established patient registration check-in protocols
• Order Sleep Study devices utilizing the system
• Upload sleep study reports into the system
• Review future clinic schedules to ensure insurance and necessary patient documentation is within the patient chart
• Schedule patient appointments
• Answer call center calls to provide overflow coverage as necessary
• Own the opening and closing of the clinic per established guidelines
• Responsible for ensuring documentation is appropriately completed, patient payment is received per insurance, and works with clinic team members to maintain the daily schedule
• Crosstrain to assist with other non-clinical duties as needed
• Order medical supplies and pharmaceuticals as needed, per established protocol

What we’re looking for in a Patient Services Representative - Float:

• Minimum of 2 year of healthcare experience required
• Prior insurance experience required
• Strong customer service focus
• Proven ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Solid technology skills including Outlook, Word, Excel, Electronic Health Records
• Great attention-to-detail and accuracy in work
• Proven ability to independently apply best practices in time management
• Prior experience and/or desire to work in a role held accountable to quality performance metrics
• Solution oriented problem solver
• Strong work ethic, commitment to teamwork, positive attitude/willingness to get the job done
• Ability to work within all ADVENT Tennessee market clinics as needed
• Strong work ethic
• Valid driver license required

Schedule:

This is a 32-40 hour full-time flex position.
