They also process referrals to specialty care, dieticians, radiology exams, community resources and contact patients to make appointments. They will ensure copays and deductibles are adjusted based on patient’s sliding fee level (as appropriate) plus they review sliding fee paperwork for completeness and ensure documented correctly in electronic health record (E.H.R) and practice management (E.P.M) systems. They also answer billing questions from staff, vendors, and patients.
