Since 1897, the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry has shaped talented students into outstanding dentists and dental hygienists. Our challenging clinical education and expert faculty members provide future oral health professionals with the skills they need to succeed and excel in dentistry. In addition to providing an exceptional educational experience to our students, we also strive to provide high quality oral care to our patients. The student clinics are an essential piece to providing excellent oral care to the community and supports student leading. The Office of Clinical Affairs has an immediate opening for a Patient Services Representative to support patient care and student learning.
The ideal candidate is enthusiastic and committed to delivering stellar customer service. This talented individual will welcome patients into the school by completing full-service patient processing. The Patient Services Representative is expected to handle multiple tasks at once and maintain accuracy and professionalism at all times. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to, patient check-in, insurance eligibility verification, and financial reconciliation of patient accounts.

The budgeted hourly rate for this position is $22.50/hr. Minimum Education: High school or equivalent Minimum Experience: 2 years Minimum Field of Expertise: Experience working in a healthcare environment. Working knowledge of HIPAA compliance and insurance terminology. Demonstrated excellent interpersonal customer service and telephone skills. Demonstrated ability to multi-task. Demonstrated experience in a high volume, fast paced environment. Demonstrated team-oriented and collaborative work style.
