Job summary

TRA Medical Imaging in Tacoma, WA is seeking a Registration Specialist to greet patients and register them for radiology procedures. You will verify insurance, collect payments, and coordinate with clinics to ensure smooth patient flow in a fast-paced reception area.

The role is onsite, with 1.0 FTE hours, Monday–Friday 10:30 AM–7:00 PM. Applicants should have a high school diploma and at least one year of related experience, and be capable of multitasking in a team setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year of recent, related experience, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients for radiology procedures ensuring their comfort and answering their questions.
• Verifying patient insurance coverage and demographics; ensuring paperwork is complete for the specific modality and communicating with other medical facilities as needed.
• Collect account payments.
• Handle routine office administrative procedures including word processing, sorting and reviewing referrals, faxing and keeping workstations/patient areas clean and organized.
• Responsible for document scanning and navigating the RIS system.
• Check work email daily.
• Follow the HIPAA privacy and security policies and procedures.
• Perform other related work as required.
