Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Typing speed 30-40 wpm required.
• Must pass the Clerical Ability Test with 80% or better.
• 1–2 years’ experience in the commercial health care environment required.
• Clinic experience preferred.
• Excellent attendance and punctuality.

Responsibilities

• Register patients promptly and courteously.
• Accurately submit patient information to the computer system including insurance and demographics.
• Scan documents into the EMR when needed.
• Verify patient insurance eligibility prior to appointment.
• Schedule appointments and relay emergency information to providers.
• Answer phones and respond to patient requests.
