Responsibilities

  • Provide clinic operational support to Pediatric Specialties ACU and GI Division (including off-site locations) in ambulatory care.
  • Coordinate and facilitate communication between physicians, nurse providers, clinic staff and patients regarding medical care issues.
  • Assist in identifying and resolving operational problems; train new staff on clinical support operations.
  • Maintain excellent rapport with patients, faculty and staff in person and by phone; function within a team.
  • Participate in Lean in Daily Work (LIDW) for continuous quality improvement.
  • Fax server management; distribute faxes and verify information in MiChart as needed.
  • Correspond with providers to obtain documentation and medical records.
  • Manage inbasket messages and triage to appropriate provider.
  • Process Lab results, Radiology images and Biopsy slides; obtain Medical Records.
  • Process FMLA and other forms; support school and accommodation paperwork.
  • Provide backup coverage for other PSI roles as identified by leadership.

Coordinate and facilitate communication between physicians, nurse providers, clinic personnel, and patients regarding issues relevant to medical care. Assist in identifying and resolving clinic operational problems and help train new staff members on the clinical support operations. Individuals must maintain excellent rapport in person or via the telephone with patients, faculty, and staff, within a team setting.
