Role Summary:
A Patient Services Coordinator develops care plans, coordinates patient care services, and ensures patients receive necessary medical treatment. They consult with healthcare providers, evaluate patient progress, and assist with securing funding for medical care.
The role involves coordinating activities for specific practices, including insurance verification/obtaining pre-certification, scheduling, pre-registration, and order transmission. The goal is to maximize reimbursement and reduce denials caused by incomplete insurance information or authorization issues. The coordinator also maintains statistics and acts as a liaison between clinical testing sites and offices.
