Job summary

Tanner Clinic is seeking a friendly receptionist to greet patients and manage front desk operations at our Utah clinic. You will collect patient and insurance information, handle co-pays, and manage appointment scheduling while guiding patients to the correct physician areas.

The role requires excellent interpersonal skills, basic computer and EHR data entry abilities, and the ability to assist patients with mobility when needed. On-site position with standard office hours.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients in a warm, friendly, and prompt manner
• Gather patient and insurance information efficiently and accurately
• Collect and process co-pays from the patient at the time of service
• Generate fee slips with accurate physician information and obtain signatures on all legal documents when necessary
• Answer telephones, screen calls, take messages, and provide information to the appropriate source
• Enter patient data into the EHR system
• Direct and escort patients to physician offices
• Provide information to patients about how to make an appointment
• Assist patients with the use of wheelchairs and wheel them to the appropriate doctor’s office if needed
• Monitor the work area to ensure that it remains safe, secure, and well-maintained
• Work urgent care hours if required
• Other duties as assigned
