Join Gynecologic Cancer Institute of Chicago, A Division of Affiliated Oncologists as a Patient Services Coordinator
AO specializes in treating a variety of cancers including lymphoma, lung, breast, prostate, gynecologic, colorectal, and head and neck cancers. Our physicians and staff are a multi-disciplinary team of highly experienced caregivers focused on helping patients and their families receive the best care and support possible.
Scope: Professionally greets and welcomes patients and their friends/family. Registers and schedules appointments for patients efficiently and timely. Answers, screens, and directs all incoming calls to appropriate personnel, relaying messages between patients and clinical staff. Performs general business office functions including patient payment posting, insurance verification and eligibility, obtaining and entering referrals, and account follow-up and payment resolution. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, including the Code of Ethics, Business Standards, and US Oncology's Shared Values.

Qualifications:
Physical Demands: Must be able to sit, stand, walk, handle and lift patients and items up to 40 lbs, and have normal vision and hearing.
Work Environment: Exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, radiation, and medical preparations typical of an oncology/hematology clinic. May involve travel to different sites.
