The Patient Services Associate (PSA) II enhances the patient/customer experience by courteously and professionally processing arrival and departure activities associated with visits to the practice/department. Responsibilities include obtaining pre-certifications and/or pre-authorizations for procedures, verifying insurance, referrals, and patient demographic information. The PSA II supports the Jefferson Experience by ensuring prompt and courteous treatment of all patients and visitors, maintaining an efficient flow of patients to examination rooms. It involves processing check-ins and check-outs, point-of-service activities, and scheduling patient appointments via EPIC. The role also includes escalating patient and provider concerns as appropriate, greeting and interacting with patients/visitors professionally, and adhering to HIPAA and other regulatory standards. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
