Base pay range

$22.00/hr - $26.00/hr

Location: Sacramento, CA

Job Type: Full-time | Pay: $22.00 – $26.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8-hour shift | No weekends

Position Summary

The Patient Service Technician plays a critical role in the daily lives of our patients by delivering and setting up medical equipment in their homes. This position requires excellent communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills to ensure patients understand how to use their equipment and feel confident in their care. You’ll also manage logistics, maintain your vehicle, and respond to urgent needs during business hours and on-call shifts.

Key Responsibilities

• Load, unload, and deliver medical equipment and oxygen to homecare patients
• Set up equipment and provide clear usage instructions to patients and families
• Communicate proactively with patients about estimated arrival times
• Maintain accurate delivery logs, pickup forms, and maintenance records
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report issues to leadership
• Respond to urgent equipment-related situations as needed, including on-call
• Comply with traffic laws and regulatory requirements (D.O.T., F.D.A., Joint Commission)
• Report unsafe environments or signs of physical abuse when necessary
• Assist in cleaning, minor repairs, and scheduling of equipment deliveries and pickups
• Perform other duties as assigned
  
  
  

Qualifications

Required:

• High school diploma or GED
• Must be at least 21 years old
• Minimum 1 year of related work experience
• 3 years of driving history with a valid Driver’s License
• Successful completion of company’s Driver Training Program
• Ability to meet D.O.T., F.D.A., and Joint Commission standards

Physical Requirements

• Regular lifting of 10–160 lbs and carrying equipment up to 350 feet
• Frequent bending, kneeling, climbing stairs, and getting in/out of vehicles
• Ability to grip and manipulate tools, documents, and mobile devices
• Frequent standing, walking, stooping, and reaching
• Visual and auditory ability to safely operate vehicles and assess equipment
• Use of ladders, carts, hand tools, and personal protective equipment as needed
  
  
  

Work Environment

• Operate vehicles in various weather and traffic conditions, day and night
• Exposure to dust, odors, fumes, and chemicals depending on the environment
• Work inside homes and healthcare facilities with varying conditions
• Must be comfortable wearing PPE and undergoing medical screenings as required
