Job Summary

Greet and register patients for evaluation and treatment. Verify medical insurance and ensure payment due at the time of service is collected. Always maintain a clean and neat appearance. Provide administrative support to the Nurse Manager/Facility Administrator and other staff as needed.

Responsibilities

1. Provides front office registration duties such as greeting, verifying benefits, HIPAA consent forms, patient demographics, and payment receipt.
2. Scans and enters patient information/medical reports in patient files through E-Power.
3. Enters patient/service census and survey data.
4. Provides medical records to other providers as requested with medical releases signed by the patient.
5. Properly logs payment and cash receipts as required.
6. Maintains adequate levels of supplies for patient use such as water, coffee, condiments, and snacks.
7. Performs duties to ensure work area and restrooms are clean and free from hazards.
8. Maintains confidentiality of patient and employee-related issues.
9. Treats patients and their families with respect and dignity.
10. Answers telephone in a polite manner and communicates, and when necessary, transfers calls or information to the appropriate staff.
11. Attends Front Office Representative Meetings as scheduled by the Front Office Manager or management staff.
12. Performs other duties as assigned or requested.

Requirements

1. High School Diploma/GED and/or the equivalent combination of up to one (1) year of experience in clerical support.
2. Valid Driver’s License.
3. CPR Certification preferred.
