Responsibilities

• Participates in recalls of inactive patients as directed by the Director of Patient Services.
• Works with supervisor to ensure goals are met, including scheduling and patient satisfaction.
• Counsels patients and answers questions related to procedures and/or billing as needed.
• Creates a positive, accountable work environment for others.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Patient Service Representative handles inbound and outbound calls in a timely and effective manner. The position will promote the business processes and support a standard of excellent patient care relating to innovative and superior vision correction care

ESSENTIAL DUITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Addresses patient inquiries and concerns about appointment scheduling, company services, insurance coverage and payment methods
• Gathers relevant information based on qualifying questions of patients to determine priority of need and proper place of treatment
• Participates in the recall of patients who have been inactive for an interval established by the Director of Patient Services
• Works with supervisor to ensure goals are being met such as scheduling and patient satisfaction
• Counsels patients and answers questions related to procedures and/or billing on an as needed basis
• Creates and provides a positive, accountable and inspired work environment for others
• High School Diploma or GED
• 2+ years of customer service in a fast-paced environment
