Job summary

CCHS is seeking a Patient Service Representative (PSR) – Front Office in Charleston, WV. The PSR will document patient demographics, register patients for visits, generate encounter forms, and process payments.

They will coordinate with the Care Team to ensure smooth scheduling and accurate payer information in the system. The role requires basic PC skills, experience with office equipment, and knowledge of HIPAA regulations.

Qualifications

• Basic keyboarding and PC skills.
• Familiarity with printers, copiers and fax equipment.
• Knowledge of Windows-based electronic health records.
• Experience with practice management systems and CCHS guidelines.
• Understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy.

Responsibilities

• Document patient demographics, statistics and billing in the practice management system.
• Register patients for visits and create encounter forms with payer information.
• Check-out patients, schedule follow-ups and return lab orders as directed.
• Handle incoming calls and patient communications within the EHR tasks module.
• Provide information on sliding fee programs and community resources as needed.
• Collaborate with the Care Team to address patient needs and barriers to care.
