Job Summary

The Patient Service Representative (PSR) at Prevea Health is responsible for welcoming, registering, and scheduling patients and visitors in a friendly and positive manner. This role acts as a liaison between patients and medical staff, creating a positive first impression whether over the phone, in person, or via MyPrevea.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Coordinate communication between patients, family, medical staff, providers, and administrative staff via phone, in person, or through MyPrevea.
  2. Obtain and confirm demographic and insurance information.
  3. Route medical inquiries, complaints, and messages appropriately.
  4. Assist with financial inquiries, including policies, insurance, payments, and other needs.
  5. Collect payments such as co-pays, balances, and payments at the time of service.
  6. Complete account, referral, and claim workflows in work queues.
  7. Schedule and confirm patient appointments.
  8. Provide daily batch and deposit reports for processing.
Qualifications
  • Education: High School Diploma and/or GED required.
  • Experience: 1-3 years in customer service; healthcare or insurance setting preferred.
  • Skills: Proficient in telephone and computer skills, excellent communication, empathetic listening, multitasking, adaptability, teamwork, and independent critical thinking.
