Long Wharf Dental Group in New Haven, CT, is seeking a Patient Service Representative to join our clinical team. The role focuses on delivering high-quality patient care in a welcoming environment while efficiently handling front-d desk tasks and patient flow.

Responsibilities include greeting patients, answering calls, scheduling and confirming appointments, posting charges, and maintaining an organized waiting area. Prior dental/medical office experience and insurance knowledge are preferred.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience working in a dental, medical, or other health-care office.
• Knowledge of insurance plans (HMO/PPO) a plus.
• Experience answering telephones; strong customer service skills.

• Customer Service; acknowledge, smile and greet patients upon arrival/dismissal
• Respond to patient questions and or concerns according to policies
• Answering Telephones
• Scheduling Appointments
• Maintaining Appointment Book
• Confirming Appointments
• Follow up on no shows/cancellation of Appointments
• Register Patients on sign in sheet
• Post charges and payments to patient accounts
• Checking voicemail on a daily basis
