East Village Dental Centre is seeking a Patient Service Representative in Chicago, Illinois to join our clinical team. The role involves providing high levels of patient care and satisfaction within a team-based environment. We pride ourselves on delivering comprehensive, personalized care in a warm and welcoming setting, prioritizing patient comfort and advanced treatments for optimal oral health.

Position Overview:

This position is ideal for someone passionate about customer service, eager to learn, and interested in starting a career in dentistry. The support person will assist staff and patients by answering phones, handling inquiries, scheduling appointments, and helping with patient treatment plans and financial arrangements. Flexibility in handling various requests and projects assigned by staff or the Office Manager is essential. Join us to make a meaningful impact on patients' lives through exceptional oral care.

Schedule: Monday to Thursday 9am to 4pm, Saturday 8am to 1pm

Compensation ranges from $18.00 to $25.00 per hour.

Responsibilities:

• Greet and acknowledge patients with a smile upon arrival and dismissal
• Respond to patient questions and concerns following DCA policies
• Answer telephones and schedule appointments
• Maintain and confirm appointment bookings
• Follow up on no-shows and cancellations
• Register patients upon sign-in
• Post charges and payments to patient accounts
• Check voicemail daily
• Maintain a clean, friendly waiting area

Qualifications:

• Experience in a dental, medical, or healthcare office preferred
• Knowledge of insurance plans (HMO/PPO) is a plus
• Experience answering telephones
• Exceptional customer service skills required
• At least 1 year of hands-on experience
