Job summary

Mercy in Oklahoma City is seeking a Patient Service Representative for the Primary Care Resource Pool. You will greet patients, verify identities, manage check-in/out, scheduling, and basic clerical tasks in a fast-paced clinic environment.

The role requires travel to multiple Primary Care clinics around the OKC metro; prior experience not required, though medical office experience preferred. Emphasis on accuracy in EPIC charting and maintaining a clean reception area in line with infection

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of medical office experience preferred, none required.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and verifies their identity in a prompt, courteous and professional manner.
• Performs general clerical duties: answers phones, Epic chart creation, processes mail as appropriate. Performs scanning, manages RightFax, makes copies.
• Performs all necessary check-in, check-out, and appointment scheduling activities.
• Demonstrates knowledge and maintenance of clinic equipment (computer, scanner, credit card machine, copier/fax, calculator, postage).
• Reviews departmental communications promptly; participates in meetings and suggests improvements in workflow.
• Supports and implements changes in EPIC or workflows.
• Ensures a safe and clean reception area and waiting room following Infection Control Guidelines.
• Maintains EHR and chart accuracy.

Position Details:

Patient Service Rep - Resource Pool

Full-time, 40 hours per week

Monday-Friday 8am-5pm

This position is part of our Primary Care Resource Pool, meaning the person hired for this role will be expected to travel to various Primary Care clinic locations in/around the OKC metro area.
