Endeavor Health seeks a PSR Lead in Naperville, IL. The role manages staff schedules, leads daily workflows, handles patient registrations and insurance verifications, and supports billing inquiries.

Strong organizational and communication skills are essential for coordinating multiple sites and ensuring accurate daily deposits. The position requires a high school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of business office or clinic experience; prior insurance/managed care exposure is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Reviews department work schedules to ensure coverage for scheduled shifts at assigned site.
• Leads daily workflow processes for PSRs, supervisor and physicians at sites.
• Assists staff with handling work-related concerns/issues.
• Monitors staff performance and reports infringements as needed.
• Performs daily audit of charges, and bank deposit reconciliation.
• Answers calls, takes messages, and responds to routine inquiries.
• Greets patients, registers them, and enters information into the system.
• Verifies insurance eligibility and reviews referrals to ensure authorization clarity.
• Schedules appointments and educates patients on procedures.
• May assist billing questions at the site.
• Receives and records patient payments and balances daily receipts.
• Prepares chart preparation and payment requests for next-day office setup.
• Performs other duties including maintaining patient files and answering inquiries.

Hourly Pay Range:

$21.50 - $32.25 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

• Full time 40 hrs
• Hours: M-F 6:30am - 7:00pm e/o Sat 6:30-2
• Required Travel: no

What you will do:

• Reviews department work schedules to ensure that all scheduled employees are present during their scheduled shift. Schedules staff for sufficient coverage at assigned site(s). Notifies supervisor if there is a staffing shortage.
• Leads daily workflow processes. Serves as point person for daily workflow for PSRs, supervisor and physicians at site(s).
• Assists staff with handling work-related concerns/issues.
• Monitors performance of staff in order to ensure work is carried out in accordance with established policies. Alerts supervisor of staff infractions in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Responsible for daily audit of charges, over-the-counter payments and bank deposit reconciliation.
• Answers telephone calls, determines nature of calls, takes and relays messages, and responds to routine inquiries following established procedures.
• Greets patients and patient families arriving for scheduled appointments. Registers patient by obtaining pertinent information such as name, demographic data, insurance coverage, etc. according to established procedures. Enters information into computer system.
• Verifies insurance eligibility and advises patients of covered benefits. Requests and reviews managed care referrals and ensures that services provided are within scope of authorization.
• Enters physician scheduling templates to meet system guidelines, updates/edits as needed due to time off requests or other changes such as meeting attendance requirements.
• Schedules all appointments including patient visits, laboratory tests, off-site diagnostic tests, etc., over the telephone and in person prior to patients leaving and assures appropriate education is provided for office procedures that are scheduled. May assist patients with scheduling off site diagnostic tests via Central Scheduling.
• Depending on office site, may be point person for billing questions.
• Receives and records patient payments made at time of service. In doing so, calculates adjustments and/or discounts when totaling charge amount, processes credit card transactions, prepares receipts for cash or check payments, and updates patient account information in computer system. Balances actual daily receipts with computer-generated total, researches and modifies discrepancies and/or errors, and prepares day end close.
• Performs next day preparation for the office including chart preparation, pre-registration, appointment confirmation and payment request.
• Performs other duties as assigned such as maintaining patient files, photocopying documents and materials, answering routine questions regarding procedures or examinations, as so forth.
