ProMedica Arrowhead Medical Center is seeking a Patient Service Coordinator for the Obstetrics Gynecology department. The role involves greeting and registering patients, answering calls, scheduling appointments, and maintaining the provider's calendar.

You will assist clinical staff with outreach and communication as needed. The position is a full-time, days-shift role based in the United States, with standard 40 hours per week.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent; 1 year experience in customer service or clerical setting.
• Preferred: associate degree and familiarity with medical terminology, billing, and referrals.
• Experience with EPIC EMS preferred.

Job Summary: As the first team member a patient interacts with at a physician practice, the Patient Service Coordinator creates a positive, inviting tone. In this role, you greet and register patients, answer phone calls, take messages and schedule and reschedule patient appointments. You will also maintain the provider's schedule. You will assist the clinical staff with outgoing calls to patients, pharmacies or other providers as needed. The above summary of accountabilities is intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed in this role. It should not be considered exhaustive.

REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or equivalent 1 year experience in a customer service or clerical setting

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

• Associates degree Working knowledge of medical terminology, third party billing and referral procedures Experience with EPIC EMS 3 years' experience in a clerical or office function 1 year experience in a medical office setting
