ProMedica in Toledo, OH seeks a Patient Service Coordinator for physician practices. You will greet and register patients, answer calls, take messages, and schedule and reschedule appointments while maintaining the provider’s schedule.

You will also assist clinical staff with outgoing calls to patients, pharmacies or other providers as needed. This is a per diem role with a day shift in an ambulatory setting.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1 year experience in a customer service or clerical setting is required.
• Experience with EPIC EMS is preferred.

Job Summary:

As the first team member a patient interacts with at a physician practice, the Patient Service Coordinator creates a positive, inviting tone.

In this role, you greet and register patients, answer phone calls, take messages and schedule and reschedule patient appointments. You will also maintain the provider’s schedule.

You will assist the clinical staff with outgoing calls to patients, pharmacies or other providers as needed.

REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1 year experience in a customer service or clerical setting

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

• Associates degree
• Working knowledge of medical terminology, third party billing and referral procedures
• Experience with EPIC EMS
• 3 years’ experience in a clerical or office function
• 1 year experience in a medical office setting
