Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• De-Escalation and MOAB training provided before sitting with a patient.
• BLS or Heartsaver CPR AED certification and renewal required.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuous observation of patients at risk of harm.
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the nurse.
• Engage patients with calming activities and therapeutic communication.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff.
• Maintain infection control procedures and document sitter presence.
