Job summary

Mass General Brigham Incorporated is seeking a Senior Patient Safety and Risk Float Specialist to support hospital-wide patient safety initiatives across multiple sites. The role provides flexible coverage during peak volumes and special projects, while advancing Equity Informed High Reliability concepts.

The candidate will coordinate projects with academic and operational departments, mentor staff, and adapt across various environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in relevant field required.
• 3-5 years of progressive health care experience; strong clinical background.
• Experience working in a large and complex health care organization preferred.
• Presentation skills; verbal and written communication skills; project management skills; computer and Internet skills and experience required: advanced knowledge of MS Office products is essential for success in this position.

Responsibilities

• Provide interim or surge support for patient safety and risk management services across assigned hospitals and departments.
• Collaborate with leadership and committees in facilitating internal medical peer review processes and analysis of patient concerns and adverse events.
• Identify trends by collecting data to improve clinical quality systems and performance.
• Analyze adverse events and patient concerns and participate in follow-up visits of regulatory or accreditation agencies; maintain confidentiality.
• Recommend corrective and preventive actions to reduce risk; collaborate with CRICO and hospital-based teams.
• Participate in educational offerings to stay current on research and trends.
• Work independently with minimal supervision and manage daily tasks and deadlines.
