MyMichigan Health is seeking a Quality & Patient Safety professional to partner with clinical departments to mitigate risks and lead system improvements. The role includes proactive data reporting, rounds, and supporting just culture initiatives across the organization.

Requirements include 3–5 years of clinical experience and an ASSOC degree with RN licensure preferred. This position involves collaboration with management and participation in committees to enhance patient safety and quality.

Qualifications

  • Three to five (3-5) years of clinical experience.
  • Familiarity with variance reporting tools and key safety/regulatory standards (TJC, IHI).
  • Ability to monitor quality and proactively reduce risk.
  • Strong problem-solving, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate with individuals and groups across levels.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitates teams to address opportunities for improvement identified in quality and patient safety data warehouses.
  • Coordinates development of evidence-based, standardized care practices and performance improvement activities.
  • Plans, prepares and coordinates presentations for new employees and providers on quality, risk and patient safety.
  • Ensures compliance with TJC, CMS and state QA requirements through coordination with committees and leadership.
  • Leads initiatives for high-priority opportunities identified by leadership.
  • Serves as liaison for claims and legal counsel for case review and file development.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
