Endeavor Health is seeking a Patient Safety Observer for Glenbrook Hospital in Glenview. This per diem role covers rotational shifts including days, evenings, weekends and holidays, with a focus on monitoring patients and providing compassionate supervision in a clinical setting.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, completion of Care Companion class with CPR/BLS, and basic communication and data-entry skills.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Care Companion class completion within two weeks of start date; CPR BLS from ARC or AHA.
• Ability to read and enter data into logs and records; basic analytical reading of instructions.
• Basic communication skills for exchanging information on factual matters and following instructions.
• Patience and compassion for listening to patient worries and concerns.
• Physical stamina to stay alert and attend to patients; ability to lift and position patients.

Responsibilities

• Under direct supervision, observes and monitors the condition of patients.
• Provides patients under supervision with compassionate and caring attention while ensuring a safe environment.
