Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a Patient Safety Companion to provide supportive patient care under RN guidance in accordance with all regulations and hospital policies.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities, maintaining a safe patient environment, and reporting changes to the nursing team. A strong focus on safety, infection prevention, and compassionate, team-based care is essential.

Qualifications

• Provides support to the patient including, but not limited to, care and comfort, personal care and hygiene, toileting, and mobility.
• Creates a safe environment for patients.
• Acts as liaison between patient and nurse to report changes or concerns.
• Provides high-level customer service to all patients, patient's family, visitors, and all employees.
• Participates in hand-off/report of pertinent information regarding patient and departmental needs upon arrival and when leaving.
