Job Summary
Serves as a lead or a resource on patient safety operational activities, projects and initiatives. Leads or participates on projects of large scope and / or significant complexity or risk. Has clinical licensure to provide expertise on events.
The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.
Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
The salary range for this position is $94,400 - $175,000 (Annual Rate).

Department Description
The Department of Quality & Safety consists of Adult Quality & Safety, Benioff Children's Hospitals (BCH) Quality & Safety, Hospital Epidemiology & Infection Prevention, Regulatory, Health Equity, and Clinical Documentation Integrity. The teams are made of multidisciplinary professionals with diverse backgrounds. The role of the Department is the support UCSF Health to deliver safe, equitable and high-quality care to the communities we serve.
Patient Safety is a division within the Quality and Patient Safety Department. The focus of the Patient Safety division is preventing, mitigating, or reducing harm from medical errors and system defects. Activities include risk surveillance and analysis of potential or actual medical errors and hazardous conditions, and process improvement to prevent future adverse events.
