Sentara Leigh Hospital in Norfolk, VA is seeking a Safety Partner for the first shift in a part-time capacity. You will work across Med Surg, ICU, and ED units, providing a safe environment for patients at risk and supporting de-escalation and safety protocols.

Responsibilities include being assigned to a unit per shift, assisting with patient safety, and completing required training including BLS within 90 days of hire and de-escalation training within 30 days (or 15 days for Behavioral

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior healthcare experience strongly preferred.
• Must complete Safety Partner Training Course during orientation if no prior health sciences status.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire and de-escalation training within 30 days of hire.

Aufgaben

• Work in multiple units (Med Surg, ICU, ED) ensuring patient safety.
• Be assigned to a unit each shift and support a safe hospital environment.
• Assist with protection of patients at risk of suicide, falls, agitation, or self-harm.
