This position is PRN with variable hours and days, requiring at least two shifts per month.

Job Summary: Performs basic patient monitoring activities under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN).

Job Responsibilities:

1. Remain at the bedside of the assigned patient at all times unless relieved by appropriate staff.
2. Assist in calming and reorienting patients in cases of agitation or confusion.
3. Remove hazards and report broken equipment as appropriate.
4. Document observations according to hospital guidelines.
5. Meet with the nurse at the start of each shift to review the care plan and activities.
6. Observe isolation precautions and monitor equipment alarms, notifying staff as needed.
7. Work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
8. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• No formal education or experience required.

Physical Requirements:

• Constant standing and walking.
• Frequent use of hearing, speech, vision, and manual dexterity.
• Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs. and patient handling.
