Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Training or coursework in behavioral health field preferred.
• Two years’ experience in a health care setting preferred.
• Acute care experience preferred.
• BLS for Health Care Provider from the American Heart Association required.

Responsibilities

• The Patient Safety Attendant participates as a member of the healthcare team by assisting the Licensed Independent Practitioner (LIP) and RN; ensures a safe environment for patients requiring observation.
• This position is an integral part of the team approach to patient care and may be asked to perform various tasks to contribute to safe and efficient flow of patients through the department.
