Job summary

HCA Florida Fort Walton-Destin Hospital is seeking a Virtual Patient Safety Attendant. From your remote station, you will monitor patients at risk for falls or self-harm, communicate concerns in real time, and support the care team to protect and improve lives.

You will document activity, respect privacy, and collaborate with clinicians to promote compassion and teamwork while ensuring safety during every shift.

Qualifications

• BCLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• NCI must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
• No prior healthcare experience required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients remotely to ensure safety and wellbeing.
• Identify risks such as falls or self-harm and alert care team promptly.
• Document patient activity and changes accurately during shifts.
• Protect patient privacy and confidentiality at all times.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to foster compassion and teamwork.

Job Summary And Qualifications

As a Virtual Patient Safety Attendant, you will play a vital role in protecting patients at risk for falls, injury, or self-harm. From your remote station, you will closely monitor their physical and emotional well-being and communicate concerns in real time – empowering the care team to respond quickly and helping care for and improve lives one moment at a time.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Watching patients with continuous focus to ensure their safety and well-being
• Identifying risks such as falls or self-harm and promptly alerting the care team to intervene quickly and protect patients
• Documenting patient activity and changes with accuracy and clarity throughout your shift
• Honoring patient privacy by safeguarding confidential information at all times
• Collaborating closely with the healthcare team to foster a culture of compassion, respect, and teamwork

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• No experience required
