Job summary

Job Summary and Qualifications:

• The Patient Safety Attendant (PSA) participates in high-quality, patient-centered care by providing continuous observation and monitoring for high-risk patients.
• In collaboration with the patient care team, the PSA ensures the patient environment is free of obstacles and minimizes risk of falls and accidental or intentional self-harm.
• The PSA may also assist with basic activities of daily living.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Watching patients with continuous focus to ensure their safety and well-being
• Identifying risks such as falls or self-harm and promptly alerting the care team to intervene quickly and protect patients
• Documenting patient activity and changes with accuracy and clarity throughout your shift
• Honoring patient privacy by safeguarding confidential information at all times
• Collaborating closely with the healthcare team to foster a culture of compassion, respect, and teamwork

What qualifications you will need:

• Required License: Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Preferred Experience: One or more years in a healthcare setting.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
