Job summary

Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support registered nurses, assist with vital signs, mobility and personal care, and help create a safe, welcoming environment for patients.

You will work as part of a collaborative nursing team, with opportunities for development and a sign-on bonus for qualified candidates. CNA certification in NC and BLS CPR are required or obtained within 30 days.

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of start date

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient preparation, mobility, transfers and comfort to support smooth care and recovery
• Provide non-medicated care such as dressing changes, skin protection, and use of supportive devices
• Keep patient areas and common spaces clean, organized, and stocked to maintain safety and efficiency
• Manage supplies, equipment, and logs to support infection control and team readiness
• Communicate kindly with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality

Job Summary and Qualifications
